BIOGRAPHY
William started his career in the early 1980's while attending Miami-Dade College, covering world news and documentaries in both film and video formats. His credits include shooting and directing documentaries and special projects regarding Princess Diana, The British Airway’s Concord, Panama, The Cuban Mass Exodus and NASA Shuttle Missions for ABC-News. In the early 90's William was chosen from a staff of twenty-five photographers to represent ABC-TV in Tampa, Florida for a journalist exchange program with the former Soviet Union. Working for Glassnoradio Network, he documented entertainment, lifestyle and the people of Russia. His work in the former Soviet Union earned him a South East Emmy for best documentary and a national award from The Radio and Television News Director Association. During William’s career he was a finalist for Television Photography from The Atlanta Chapter of The Society of Professional Journalist, Green Eye Shade Award, was nominated for a South East Emmy for Best Camera Work for a Documentary “Land of The Lost Guatemala”, and in 1992 he won a South East Emmy for Entertainment Feature for "Hot Shots", a documentary on the fashion industry in Miami. William also won two New York Film Festival Awards for Best TV Spots for ABC-TV and a nomination for “Ten Taxi” an ABC-TV, Miami production. In the mid 90's William earned the title Producer, Director and Director of Photography for features, commercials, television programming, reality, and music video productions. William has worked on noted projects for: Lenny Kravitz, Paul McCartney, Missy Elliott, Michael Jackson, P-Diddy, Obie Bermudez, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Emilio Estefan and Chayanee just to name a few artist. Other projects include “Get Out” for HD NET, " Unsolved Mysteries" for the Sundance Channel, "Real World, Miami", for MTV Network, "Crossing Country" for The Out Door Channel, "MTV Making The Video" for MTV Network, and Dick Wolf ‘s television series, "Arrest and Trial " for USA Networks. William’s first short feature “The Soldier” was released in August 2003 at Cinema Paradiso, home of The Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival. Additonal features including; award winning “Red Bird” directed by Emilia Huerta, the critically acclaimed “Loren Cass” directed by Chris Fuller and distributed by Kino International, “Frat Party” for Supermassive films distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment, and "Amor Y Frijoles" distributed by Cinemark International. William experince has also crossed over in distribution for deliverables for the mulit-million dollar feature ‘Celesitine Prophecy’ for Animus Group. William is also a member of two union guilds, NABET and IATSE Local 600 Cinematographers guild and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
